Blind Contour Drawing – a process of drawing the form of an object as the eye and the mind see it. The person drawing is not allowed to look at the sheet of paper as he draws.
Here are my attempts at blind contour drawing of the hand.
For the second exercise, the person drawing is allowed to look at the sheet of paper occasionally as he draws. It can be noted that reference points are established and consequently, there is notable improvement in the outputs.
For the third exercise, the person drawing is allowed to look at the sheet of paper as much as he needs to, in order to establish reference points. The outcome is a greatly improved version of the first blind contour drawing.
